Being in a band is a trying experience. It's a marriage, friendship, heartbreak, and all-encompassing job. Our band motto was life, love, and regret. Division and Circumstance represents the four years of Shade Seven [2000-2004]. We went from kids in a garage to weathered and road tested young adults doing what we loved. As most bands do we grew and matured as did our lineup. At the core was Travis Foote (vox & guitar) and Andy Hale (guitar)and augmented by drummer Joe Wertz, bassist Mike Rodden and earlier by Drake Matney and Justin Tibbs respectively. Division and Circumstance is 17 tracks that represents Shade Seven - four years, five vans, five EPs, and countless tours. Four guys doing what they love blending introspective lyrics, rumbling guitars, hooks, and passionate delivery.
